Steps to remove odoo from ubuntu/linux systems and it's settings and files.


Stop odoo server



Remove all odoo files



Remove PostgreSQL


1- Stop Server : odoo server

sudo service odoo-server stop

2- Remove all odoo files (Application code)

sudo rm -R /opt/odoo

3- Remove odoo Configuration Files

sudo rm -f /etc/odoo-server.conf
sudo rm -f /etc/odoo.conf

4 -Remove startup process (if needed)

update-rc.d -f odoo-server remove
sudo rm -f /etc/init.d/odoo-server

5- Delete Odoo User and User group

sudo userdel -r postgres
sudo groupdel postgres

6- Remove Database

sudo apt-get remove postgresql -y 
sudo apt-get --purge remove postgresql\* -y
sudo rm -rf /etc/postgresql/
sudo rm -rf /etc/postgresql-common/
sudo rm -rf /var/lib/postgresql/

7- Remove logs

rm -R /var/log/odoo
